Empty calories

Food which contains no nutrients and just calories are generally referred to as empty calories. When these empty calories are consumed in excess they lead to maximum increase in weight. Sugar, fizzy drinks and alcohol contain excess empty calories. Soda is one such drink where it contains tons of empty calories. There are tons of people who are much addicted towards this drink which causes various problems to their health. It is much better to prepare food with high nutrients than those containing more of these empty calories especially for the one whose diet must contain all these kinds of food. People just blindly consume loads of junk food and other eatables which are full of empty calories. Thus they just put on weight and so they start up with exercising and various other techniques to lose weight. Even though they may reduce weight, they never get the exact nutrients to stay fit and healthier forever.

DSLR Technology

The DSLR technology in digital cameras is similar to that of Single-Lens Reflex system. The major difference is that it includes a digital imaging system composed of many sensors to capture the image. Firstly the image goes in through the aperture and then through the lens elements as in case of all normal cameras. Then, instead of the shutter there exists a flip-up mirror placed at 45⁰ which inverts and reflects the image upwards through 90⁰. This flip-up mirror is semi-automatically movable behind which lies the shutter and the digital image capturing system. Above the flip-up mirror lays a penta-prism which reflects the upcoming image twice through 270⁰ and makes the image inverted again and so it reaches its same direction when it moves into the viewing system. Thus the exact image that is to be captured is viewed through the viewfinder window. When any adjustments are made in the lens elements, the exact adjustments in the image are seen in the viewfinder window. This is a great advantage with DSLR cameras and it proves to be a great leap in the field of photography.

SLR cameras

The SLR or Single-lens Reflex camera works by a single lens that focuses the image to a semi-automatically moving mirror system beneath which lies the film. Digital SLR cameras have a digital imaging system instead of the film. The main advantage of SLR cameras is that what we see as the image to be captured is exactly recorded on the film. Unlikely the pre-SLR cameras have an additional image perception region for us to view the image and this viewed image will be a little different in dimensions from the image focussed through the lens. Thus the image what we expect to be captured is not exactly the one recorded in the film. To overcome this problem, TLR or Twin lens reflex cameras were used in prior to the development of SLR cameras. They were very keen in capturing images at middle and long distances. Their problem was that parallax error would occur while focussing close-up images. Moreover it is not an easy task to capture images at low light using these Twin reflex cameras. SLR cameras have overcome all these disadvantages and prove to be a very useful instrument to professional photographers.
